DALI PLC

The iLumTech DALI PLC Coupler is part of the Connected Lighting product family. This powerful device is used to connected two or more DALI networks over standard mains cabling. Basically, the device couples DALI communication to the mains, and vice versa, which eliminates the need for installation of additional DALI cabling. This determines the DALI PLC Coupler for use is applications where two-wire cabling suitable for DALI is not present, and reconstruction is not planned or possible.

DESCRIPTION

TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
  • A maximum of 64 DALI devices with unique addresses can be connected to single network
  • Only one DALI power supply may be used
  • Input parameters: DALI: 12-25 V DC, input current < 20 mA, PLC: 110 / 230 V AC

INSTALLATION

For the proper functionality, at least one PLC coupler should be used at the beginning of the network, between the DALI controller and mains, and the another one between the luminaire (or groups of the luminaires) with the DALI driver.
​The DALI wiring is not required between the DALI PLC couplers, in the case that the DALI coupler is used in front of the group of the luminaires, they have to be connected with the DALI wires.
