How does the Gatekeeper LITE Surge Diverter Work?
The Gatekeeper LITE surge diverter is a basic SPD. Once a surge or spike is detected which exceeds the clamping voltage, the MOV reacts conducting the excess voltage to ground. The MOV segment will continue to do this until it has reached its life expectancy and expires. The green indicator tab on the front of the SPD will remain green until the MOV expires at which time the indication tab will change to RED. If this should occur we recommend you consider changing the SPD ASAP as the SPD has expired and protection no longer exists. The expiration of the MOV component will also activate the alarm circuit.

GATEKEEPER LITE POWER SURGE DIVERTERS - DATA SHEET
Product Description
The LDU GKSDL surge diverter is a high quality low cost DIN compliant diverter of a modular design. Therefore when the device expires, you simply replace the module to reinstate the diverter’s full capacity. The unit has been designed for mounting in the main switchboard/distribution board Cat B/C locations.
As with all LDU diverters, the LSD360-440/A surge diverter has been designed to be fail-safe incorporating internal over voltage and thermal fusing.

Alarm
The GKSDL is supplied with external alarms consisting of a voltage free relay to remotely monitor the diverter status. The alarm terminal capacities are 2.5mm2 and are configured as follows:
- NC = Normally Closed Closed when power is off or under fault conditions
- NO = Normally Open Open when power is off or under fault conditions
- C = Common
