If electrical surges are causing you outages and costly electrical equipment failures, then an audit by BESST will identify how to eliminate these problems. The audit can be a desktop audit if your project is in the design phase.
If the audit identifies that remedial work is required and you contract BESST to do the recommended work, or to supervise it, then you will receive a surge protection certificate, a maintenance log with procedures and guidelines, and a maintenance training tutorial for your staff.
On completion of the remedial work, BESST will guarantee the surge protection for three years, or for the life of the surge protection devices (if less), provided you follow the maintenance procedures and guidelines.
If you have a lightning protection system that is installed and maintained to the relevant Standards, then the guarantee is that you will not have to replace any electrical equipment because of surge damage as a result of a lightning strike.
The same guarantee will apply if you don’t have a lightning protection system, and the strike is more than 60 m from your installation.
Otherwise the cost of the audit will be refunded. This is separate to the surge protection manufacturer’s product warranties. Nobody else guarantees your surge protection like this.
