Hazardous Area engineering and hazardous area electrical design and consultation is part of the foundation of BESST. We are industry leaders in this field. Our expertise in hazardous area is backed up by 20 years of successful outcomes for our clients working within this high risk industry.

The requirements for the selection of electrical equipment for use in hazardous areas must comply with AS/NZS 2381.1 or AS/NZS 61241.14
The installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas must comply with AS/NZS 2381.1 or AS/NZS 61241.14.


Australian / New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4761 specifies the competencies required for work associated with electrical equipment for hazardous areas.
