SENSORS SENSORS The continuous monitoring of the oil condition of the machine on board using sensors is almost inevitable, since the size and thus the distances and routes on the ship continue to increase. A "manual" control is hardly possible in time and practically. It is advisable to install sensors directly in the oil line or in the system in connection with storage and readout units that perform a round-the-clock measurement or record data. Undetected leakage or increased metal abrasion are indicated immediately. Maintenance and repair measures can be carried out promptly, thus saving high repair costs. Due to its modular design, the monitoring system is suitable for all units. Areas of application include the main machine, generators, hydraulic systems, MT MODULAR MONITORING SYSTEM Continuous diverse oil analysis The MT MODULAR MONITORING SYSTEM is a list of various sensor systems that has been developed for continuous real-time monitoring of lubricating and hydraulic oils. The system can be equipped as a complete set of Martechnic ® sensors for a wide range of oil analyzes, or it can be customized for the use of a specific oil system. FEATURES Measurable parameters Water-in-oil / moisture viscosity Particles iron ADVANTAGES Continuous diverse oil analysis Plug and play Tailor-made for every application Comprehensive results in real time Extended warning function Improved maintenance practices The MT MODULAR MONITORING SYSTEM makes it possible to carry out a precise and continuous assessment of the oil system. During the monitoring process, the water content and the degree of saturation of the oil, the contamination by insoluble or metal particles, the contamination by ferromagnetic wear particles as well as the current viscosity value can be measured. By connecting the sensors to the special display unit DATALOGGER, the transmitted data can be saved and evaluated. The deviations of the measured parameters from standard ranges can be recognized using the alarm display. AHHOI IR + MANIFOLD The AHHOI - infrared water-in-oil sensor can be equipped with manifold technology for measuring the level of water concentration in up to four different oil systems (e.g. main engine, hydraulic systems and stern tube seals). The infrared measuring process enables the water content to be determined in all three forms: saturated, emulsified and free. As soon as the sensor is installed and the manifold is connected to the corresponding oil systems using the bypass process, the real-time data on the current water content can be determined directly. The AHHOI sensor measures water in molecular form up to 10000 ppm / 1.0 vol.%. Only a single calibration for the oil types used is required for further continuous monitoring. AHHOI IR WATER IN-LINE IR - water inline sensor, patent no. 2009439 The AHHOI sensor enables continuous inline monitoring of the oil quality through the use of infrared technology and the determination of the level of water concentration in all three forms: saturated, emulsified and free. The main advantage of the water-in-oil sensor is its wide range of applications. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Measuring range: 0 - 10000 ppm / 0 - 1.0 vol.% Water Operating voltage: 100 - 240 V AC / 50 - 60 Hz, 24 VDC possible on request Pressure primary system: 1 - 10 bar Pressure measuring cell: 0.8 - 1.5 bar Measuring temperature: 0 - 59 ° C ADVANTAGES Continuous measurement of the water content in oil Detection of water in all three states Low maintenance costs Suitable for new construction and retrofitting Plug and play Based on the bypass process, the sensor is installed in the engine's lubricating oil system in order to measure the water content in oil in molecular form up to 10000 ppm / 1.0 vol.% In real time. The AHHOI sensor must be pre-calibrated for the type of oil used. The pressure level required for the continuous operation of the sensor is achieved by the integrated valve. VISCOSITY SENSOR 24/7 viscosity monitoring The VISCOSITY SENSOR makes it possible to continuously monitor the viscosity, relative permittivity and temperature of lubricating and hydraulic oils in order to create an effective real-time assessment of the oil condition. The constant oil analysis helps to recognize all changes immediately, as well as to determine the quality of the lubricating oil and the engine oil aging. TECHNICAL FEATURES Measuring range: SAW dynamic viscosity: 8 - 400 mm² / s Rel. Dielectric constant: 1- 7 Temperature: -20 ° C to + 85 ° C Accuracy: SAW dynamic viscosity: +/- 5 mm² / s Rel. Dielectric constant: +/- 0.02 Temperature: +/- 0.5 K. Power supply: 9 - 33 V Operating pressure: max.50 bar Protection class: IP 67 Interface: RS232 / CAN; 4- 20 mA Liquid compatibility: mineral oil, ester liquids, polyalphaolefins The relevant parameters, namely the SAW dynamic viscosity, the relative permittivity and the temperature are measured and displayed in real time on the special display unit DATALOGGER. After the learning phase of the VISCOSITY SENSOR has ended, the values obtained can also be read at a reference temperature of 40 ° C. PARTICLE SENSOR Continuous monitoring of the particle concentration The PARTICLE SENSOR enables continuous monitoring of hydraulic fluids and lubricating oils to determine insoluble and / or metal particles and the level of their concentration. The sensor technology helps to efficiently follow all changes in the oil condition and enables early detection of wear on machine components. TECHNICAL FEATURES Measuring range: 4, 6, 14 and 21 µm Purity class according to: ISO 4406: 99 and SAE AS4059 Power supply: 9 - 33 V DC Operating pressure: up to 420 bar Flow rate: 50 - 400 ml / min Temperature: -20 to + 85 ° C Protection class: IP 67 Interface: RS-232 / CAN; 4 - 20mA Data storage: 3000 data records Liquid compatibility: mineral oil (e.g. HLP), ester liquids (e.g. HEES / HETG) The PARTICLE SENSOR uses the so-called light extinction principle with laser technology for the optical counting of the covered particles and their classification in a measuring cell with regard to their size and number. The measured values are displayed in accordance with ISO 4406: 99 and SAE AS 4059. With its high operating pressure of up to 420 bar, the sensor can be installed directly in the pressure line. The data received is recorded, transferred to the DATALOGGER and saved over a longer period of time. STANDARD MOISTURE SENSOR Continuous water-in-oil monitoring The STANDARD MOISTURE SENSOR detects free or dissolved water in oil by continuously measuring the relative humidity. The real-time monitoring of the degree of saturation of oil with water allows all changes that occur to be recognized directly in order to enable effective operation of the engine system. TECHNICAL FEATURES Measuring range: 0 - 100% (rel.humidity) Temperature: -20 - + 85 ° C Power supply: 9 - 33 VDC Operating pressure: max. 10 bar Protection class: IP 67 The STANDARD HUMIDITY SENSOR constantly measures the humidity value that is processed on the DATALOGGER display unit. The degree of saturation (in%) is calculated in the range from 0% (no water detected) to 100% (complete saturation / existence of free water). The sensor is particularly relevant with regard to unsaturated ester oils. Since portable test devices measure the level of water concentration with the help of reagents, this measurement method is not suitable for ester oils. MOISTURE SENSOR PLUS Continuous determination of the water content in oil The HUMIDITY SENSOR PLUS is an improved version of the HUMIDITY SENSOR STANDARD, which enables real-time monitoring of three oil parameters (relative humidity, relative permittivity and the conductivity of the oil). Because of the proposed possibility to measure, record, save and automatically evaluate the data, the sensor can be described as a semi-intelligent device of a new generation. TECHNICAL FEATURES Measuring range: Relative humidity: 0 - 100% Relative permittivity (dielectric constant): 1-7 Conductivity: 100 - 800000 pS / m Temperature: -20 - + 85 ° C Supply voltage: 9 - 33 VDC Operating pressure: max. 50 bar Protection class: IP 67 Interface: RS 232 / CAN; 4- 20 mA Liquid compatibility: mineral oil, ester liquids, polyalphaolefins The screw-in sensor helps to continuously assess all occurring changes in the degree of saturation of the oil with water together with the relative dielectric constant and the conductivity at the current temperature. The values obtained are transferred to the special display unit DATALOGGER. After completing the learning phase and creating the required database, the measured values are also available at a reference temperature of 40 ° C. Using the data compiled, it is possible to calculate the remaining life of the oil and to determine optimal maintenance and oil change intervals. FE SENSOR Continuous monitoring of the ferromagnetic particles Through continuous monitoring, the FE-SENSOR enables the determination of the ferromagnetic wear particles and, accordingly, an exact assessment of the condition of lubricating and hydraulic oils. Since the degree of concentration of the ferromagnetic particles demonstrates possible ongoing friction processes in the machine components and wear in oil systems, the use of sensor technology allows constant monitoring of all changes that occur in order to take suitable corrective measures. TECHNICAL FEATURES Measuring range: 0-100% Accuracy: +/- 1% Supply voltage: 9 - 33 VDC Operating pressure: max. 10 bar Temperature: -40 ° C to + 85 ° C The inductive measuring principle is used to measure the number of ferromagnetic wear particles. The particles are collected on the head of the FE-SENSOR, which is equipped with a permanent magnet. The output signal in the range from 0 to 100% is related to the amount of particles distributed on the sensor surface. Fine particles (micrometer range) and coarse ferromagnetic fragments (millimeter range) can be distinguished. The data is continuously transferred to the special unit DATALOGGER and stored in order to ensure an effective assessment. Data storage device The DATALOGGER is part of the MT MODULAR MONITORING SYSTEM, which is suitable for the recording, storage and display of the data received. Although the device has been specially developed for its own sensor system, the DATALOGGER can also be programmed and individually adapted to the special properties of a specific application. TECHNICAL FEATURES Ambient conditions for storage: Temperature .: 0-60 ° C Moisture: 0-95% Ambient conditions operation: Temperature: 5-50 ° C Moisture: 0-95% Internal data storage: 1000 records LED display Power supply: 9-33 VDC Interface: RS-232, analog 4-20 mA SD card up to 4 GB The DATALOGGER receives and continuously processes the measured oil parameters, displays them and saves them. For this purpose, the device is equipped with the internal memory and the external SD card. Thanks to the integrated transmission mode and the software from Martechnic ® , the information received can be displayed on a computer for evaluation. The DATALOGGER enables effective data tracking in the process of remote monitoring of the oil condition. Testing Test Case Sampling Sensors Clean

CLEAN ULTRASONIC CLEANING DEVICES The main reason for using ultrasound devices is thorough and safe cleaning of the hard-to-reach areas of machine parts, such as. B. valve blocks or filter cartridges. The ultrasound technology in conjunction with an optimal cleaning temperature and the ultrasound cleaning liquid ensure high cleaning performance and thorough removal of dirt. Since the ultrasonic cleaning is gentle on the surface, it is also ideal for separator disks (avoiding scratches). The method of ultrasonic cleaning is environmentally friendly compared to the usual chemical cleaning processes. For this purpose, the ultrasonic cleaning fluid ENVIROSONIC, a biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly product, can be used. Functional principle: Piezo-electric ultrasound elements produce high-frequency sound waves, which generate mechanical energy in the cleaning liquid and cause a "push-pull" effect on the surface of the metal element to be cleaned. This cavitation effect creates vacuum bubbles that implode on the surface, thereby thoroughly removing deposits and dirt without damaging the element to be cleaned. How it works: Regardless of the use of the ultrasonic cleaning baths or when using the ultrasonic transducers in existing or custom-made baths, the cleaning liquid must be heated to an operating temperature of 60-80 ° C. The cleaning time depends on the degree of soiling and the U-Sonic performance. Martechnic ® supplies the following ultrasound products: • Standard baths • Made-to-measure bathrooms • Ultrasonic cleaning transducer • Ultrasonic cleaning fluid Testing Test Case Sampling Sensors Clean ULTRASONIC CLEANING BATH Type 380 - 2500 Safe cleaning of various components of the engine system helps to ensure long-term functionality. With ultrasound technology, various objects of different dimensions, including complex-shaped devices with difficult-to-reach areas, can be easily and efficiently cleaned in a robustly built ULTRASONIC CLEANING BATH. The size of the bathroom can be selected from the standard range depending on the objects to be cleaned or can be individually adapted to customer-specific needs. FEATURES Operating frequency: 30kHz Power supply: 50/60 Hz - 230 or 440 (380) V Material: stainless steel ASTM A240 / DIN 1.4571 mm welded ADVANTAGES More efficient than conventional cleaning methods Fast cleaning e.g. B. the following parts: cylinder cover, cooler, valves, lubrication and heavy oil filter, turbocharger drive wheel, air cooler Easy to use and accommodate in many places Low noise level High-frequency ultrasonic waves, which are generated by means of a SUBMERSIBLE ENERGY TRANSFORMER in combination with the ULTRASONIC GENERATOR, create cavitation bubbles in the cleaning liquid in a bath. When the bubbles implode on the surface of the objects to be cleaned, mechanical energy is released to remove any traces of contamination. This so-called "push-pull" effect enables thorough and safe cleaning without the need to disassemble the equipment before cleaning. ULTRASOUND GENERATOR Ultrasonic cleaning with submersible energy converter Ultrasonic technology enables deep and thorough cleaning of the engine system components. As an alternative to conventional, mechanical and chemical cleaning processes, ultrasonic cleaning is gentle on the surface of various objects and safe for the environment. The powerful high-frequency sound waves, which are generated with the help of the ULTRASONIC GENERATOR in conjunction with the piezoelectric SUBMERSIBLE ENERGY CONVERTER, enter the cleaning liquid in the ULTRASONIC CLEANING BATH and generate cavitation bubbles. If the bubbles implode on the surface of the objects to be cleaned, mechanical energy is released in the cleaning liquid and a so-called "push-pull" cleaning effect arises. FEATURES Ultrasound generator Operating frequency: 30 kHz Power supply: 50/60 Hz - 220 V Output current (power): 3.0 kW Submersible energy converter Material: ASTM A420 / DIN 1.4571 stainless steel PTZ elements: 12 pieces Cable length: 5 m ADVANTAGES Efficient cleaning process for various engine parts: cylinder cover, radiator, valves, lubrication and heavy oil filter, turbocharger drive wheel, air cooler Easy cleaning of hard-to-reach areas Application for up to four energy converters Low noise level Depending on the cleaning baths available to customers, the ULTRASONIC GENERATOR and the SUBMERSIBLE ENERGY CONVERTER are available in various sizes (available in a PDF file for download). Up to 4 SUBMERSIBLE ENERGY CONVERTERS can be placed vertically in a cleaning bath and must be completely covered with cleaning liquid during cleaning. The energy required to operate a cleaning bath is set in accordance with the size of a bath based on the 5 W / L ratio. The suitable cleaning fluid (e.g. ENVIROSONIC from Martechnic®) is heated to a temperature of around 60 ° C in the cleaning bath, and the engine parts to be cleaned are then immersed in the bath for cleaning. The hard-to-reach areas of the complex engine parts can therefore be cleaned efficiently. ULTRASONIC CLEANING FLUID Ultrasonic cleaning liquid (concentrate) The cleaning fluid ENVIROSONIC has been specially developed for applications in the ultrasonic cleaning systems from Martechnic ® . The environmentally friendly, water-based and biodegradable product delivers efficient cleaning results and is gentle and safe for the surface of engine system components. ENVIROSONIC makes it easier to clean the heavily soiled and hard-to-reach areas of engine system components such as fuel and lubricating oil filters, cylinder covers and valves, and provides protection against rust and tarnishing. ADVANTAGES Biodegradable, environmentally friendly cleaning fluid Arises from renewable resources Easy to rinse with water Intensifies the cleaning effect Inexpensive ultrasonic cleaning Protection against renewed contamination on the surface of the cleaned objects The cleaning liquid is diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 5 to 1:10, added to the ULTRASONIC CLEANING BATH and heated to the optimal temperature of 60 ° C. The high-frequency ultrasonic waves, which are generated by means of an ULTRASONIC GENERATOR in conjunction with a piezoelectric SUBMERSIBLE ENERGY CONVERTER, generate cavitation bubbles in the cleaning solution that implode on the surface of the objects to be cleaned. This creates a so-called "push-pull" effect. The immersed engine parts remain in the bathroom for about 30 minutes. After drying out, they can be reinstalled. Before the cleaning bath is refilled for the following cleaning procedures, the cleaning liquid must be degassed.

TESTING TEST EQUIPMENT To determine the water content in lubricating oil or fuel z. B. on board a ship, Martechnic ® has developed portable measuring devices. These make it possible to examine the oil on site, independently of a laboratory. The measured values of the equipment are not as accurate as laboratory values, but they complement them. The test equipment can be used to monitor the oil status of the machine and, if necessary, to make decisions as to whether maintenance measures need to be carried out. The test devices are supplied in a handy case that contains all the utensils needed to carry out the test. Testing Test Case Sampling Sensors Clean WIO CHECK Water in oil measuring device The water content in oil is an important indicator for the assessment of the engine condition and the performance of a system in general. The WIO CHECK helps to measure these oil parameters on site and in the process of trend monitoring in order to receive regular information about changes in the oil condition. FEATURES Measuring range: 0 - 0.4 or 0 - 1.0 vol. % H 2 O Measuring time: up to 20 minutes Tolerance: +/- 3% ADVANTAGES Readable in vol. % Water Only one reagent needed Applicable to all mineral oils Easy to use even for untrained personnel Handy to handle and transport The two chambers of the device are filled with the oil sample and the reagent. The measuring process takes place by shaking the device from time to time and can be ended as soon as the result is constant over 1-2 minutes. It is therefore possible to determine the exact end of the actual reaction. TWIN CHECK 4.0 TWIN CHECK: NEW, IMPROVED DESIGN IN HARMONY WITH THE 4.0 CONCEPT Electronic water-in-oil / BN test device An improved and updated version of the TWIN CHECK test device has been developed by Martechnic® to provide the advantages of digitization in a customer-friendly manner. Modularity in the design of the TWIN CHECK 4.0 is a new configuration not previously available on the market. Each individual component (inserted and screwed) can be replaced in the event of a malfunction or damage. The visible advantages of the innovative technical solution are the most economical on-site diagnosis and the replacement of components without the need to buy a new test device or to pay high costs for diagnosis and repairs on the company premises. Other important features of the TWIN CHECK 4.0 include the optimization of water-in-oil / BN measurements, an easy-to-use navigation system, automatic data recording and storage as well as the USB-to-serial connection (a terminal program) for data transmission and trend analysis of the condition of lubricating and hydraulic oil. FEATURES Measurable parameters Water in oil: none Measuring range: 0 - 1.0 vol. % H 2 O Measuring time: depending on the measured value (min. 2 - max. 20 min.) Tolerance: +/- 1 BN Also available as a single test device: water-in-oil or BN ADVANTAGES Applicable to all mineral oils Improved design with a simple navigation menu for high measurement accuracy Internal memory chip with an average data storage of 2.5 years Digital display of test results USB to serial cable connection for data transmission and trend analysis Determining the base number: 6 storage spaces for up to 6 different oil types from different engines Maintenance and repairs are possible on board The identical measuring procedure of water-in-oil and BN starts as soon as the two chambers of the TWIN CHECK reaction housing have been filled with the oil sample and the reagent and the built-in pressure sensor has accepted the ambient pressure (outlet pressure) as the internal pressure with a zero reference point. The chemical reaction proceeds by shaking the device every two minutes for 15 seconds. The measurement ends automatically as soon as the determined concentration of water / BN parameter is constant, and the end result is immediately shown on the digital display. Therefore, the measuring time depends directly on the measured value and can vary from 2 to a maximum of 20 minutes. A single calibration per oil type is required to determine the number of bases. MT TEST KIT VERIFIER Compressed air tester Compliance with the essential safety measures on board a ship in accordance with the ISM Code not only helps to ensure the safe operation of ships, but also makes a valuable contribution to marine environmental protection. Following the guidelines set out in Section 10.3 Part A of the ISM Code, namely the need for "... regular checks for the functionality of devices and equipment and technical equipment that are not in constant use ...", Martechnic® developed the MT TEST KIT VERIFIER. The device enables a quick check of the functionality and accuracy of the measurements of the portable test devices based on the gas pressure measurement: WIO CHECK and TWIN CHECK 4.0. FEATURES Two options to choose from: Option I: usable test device installed including 0.5 m 4x6 hose Option II: usable test device installed including 0.5 m 4x6 hose with pressure reducer and adapted pressure gauge for direct reading of the water value Tolerance: +/- 0.05% H₂O of the TWIN CHECK 4.0 / WIO CHECK +/- 1 BN of the TWIN CHECK 4.0 ADVANTAGES The test unit is equipped with a 1 bar safety valve. The built-in thermometer measures the corresponding temperature. Three spheres of different sizes are available to analyze oils with different viscosity ranges. VISCOSITY COMPARISON TEST Viscosity comparison device The simple test method with the VISCOSITY COMPARISON has been developed to assess a critical physical property of lubricating and hydraulic oils, namely the viscosity. The device provides visually visible information almost immediately and on-site whether the viscosity of the oil sample is still within the tolerance range or not. FEATURES Measuring range: lubricating oil Measuring time: approx. 3 min. ADVANTAGES No chemicals needed Can be used quickly Immediate evaluation of the test results Easy to use even for untrained personnel Two oil samples of the same temperature (fresh oil sample and sample of the used oil) are compared in the VISCOSITY COMPARISON. Depending on the difference in the flow behavior of the oil samples and by determining the end position of each sample, the viscosity of the used oil can be determined on the "go / no go" principle. IRON CHECK E Digital test for the chemical determination of iron content (patent number: 2982974) The iron concentration in the cylinder wiping oil provides information about the wear condition of the engine. Changes in the operation of the two-stroke diesel engines (lower operating temperatures) can lead to the phenomenon of low temperature corrosion (NTK), in particular the corrosion of the cylinder components. The portable test equipment EISENTEST makes it possible to carry out regular analyzes based on a chemical determination of the iron content (corrosive and / or abrasive) in the cylinder wiper oil in order to determine the changes occurring in engine wear directly on site. This enables efficient engine lubrication settings to be made. FEATURES Measuring range: 15/20 - 1100 mg / kg (ppm) Measuring temperature: 70 ˚C Measuring time: approx. 15 minutes for two cylinder oil samples Measuring method: Chrominance measuring device with the LED transmitted light Tolerance: +/- 20 mg / kg (ppm) (good repeatability of test results) ADVANTAGES Precise, digital, semi-automatic measurement of the iron content Simultaneous processing of two samples (effective and time-saving method) No need to use a color comparison chart Early warning about corrosion problems with regular use Efficient adjustment of the lubrication of crosshead motors The IRON CHECK E test device similarly enables the measurement of all and corroded iron. After quickly preparing the special reaction solution in the glass vials and preheating the glass vials in two chambers A and B of the IRON CHECK E, the oil sample selected for testing can be added to start the digital test analysis. During the chemical reaction of iron in the cylinder wiping oil and a special reaction solution, the color of the derived liquid in the glass vials is automatically evaluated using the built-in chrominance measuring device with the LED transmitted light. The color can vary from light blue to dark blue and it depends directly on the iron concentration in the cylinder oil samples. The darker the color of the liquid, the higher the level of iron concentration that the cylinder lubricant contains. The measured values are then automatically saved in the internal memory. MT CAT FINES CHECK Cat Fines determination test for Al and Si based Cat Fines Catalyst fines can be found in heavy oil and these particles can severely impair the functionality of ship engine parts. The MT CAT FINES CHECK test device helps to assess the quality of the heavy oil, ie it can be determined on site whether the abrasive particles are present in the heavy oil or not. This simple and fast test method enables regular testing of heavy oil samples before and after a separator and before the oil is used for engine operation. FEATURES Measuring time: up to 15 minutes Up to 8 simultaneous measurements possible Visually quantifiable ADVANTAGES Simple and quick test method Applicable to all types of heavy oil Demonstrative tester rates Handy to handle Inexpensive test procedure The heavy oil samples are prepared using the relevant reagents, then filled into the plastic microcentrifuge tubes and the tubes are placed in parallel in the centrifuge. If the number of microcentrifuge tubes is odd, a filled plastic tube must be used to balance the centrifuge. After taking the heavy oil samples, the concentration of cat fines in the heavy oil can be assessed directly before and after a separator. Using the comparison table (part of every test case MT CAT FINES CHECK) it is possible to quantify the cat fines visually. This means that the quality of the heavy oil supplied and the functionality of the separators can be checked regularly. POUR POINT CHECK Pour point measurement With regard to heavy oil and its viscosity value, it is important to determine a sufficiently high temperature for safe oil storage and to operate the engine system. The STOCKPUNKT CHECK test method makes it possible to determine the lowest temperature of the oil sample at which the oil solidifies. You can monitor the correct flowability of the heavy oil directly on site and on a regular basis. FEATURES Measuring range: - 20 ° C up to + 30 ° C Measuring time: approx. 10 minutes Tolerance: +/- 2 ° C ADVANTAGES Applicable to all heavy oils Simple and quick test method Temperature can be read directly in ° C Easy to use even for untrained personnel First, a warm oil sample is cooled using the cold spray until the oil stops flowing. The corresponding temperature is noted as temperature A. Then the sample is gradually warmed until the oil flows again. The corresponding temperature is marked as temperature B. The average of both temperatures is the pour point of the oil sample.

SAMPLING SAMPLING SAMPLE CONTAINER FOR TAKING REPRESENTATIVE OIL SAMPLES Suitable sample containers are essential for obtaining accurate oil analysis results. Martechnic ® offers a range of sample bottles that have been developed for fuel, lubricating and hydraulic oils, as well as for water, alcohol and acid. The sample bottles differ in shape, size and material depending on the desired substance for sampling. Small sample bottles of 120 ml are suitable for representative samples of lubricating and hydraulic oil. Their tamper-evident seal with screw-on lids enables quick and effortless sampling. The bottles are automatically sealed by screwing on the lids. The sample bottles are practical for various applications. MARPOL FUEL SAMPLES In accordance with MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI, a representative fuel sample must be taken during the bunker process and a bunker certificate must be issued. In accordance with the guidelines of Appendix 7 of MEPC.182 (59) regarding the removal of the primary cob during the bunker process, Martechnic ® has developed a hand-operated sampler "Drip Sampler" with a fixed Cubitainer (5 or 10 l). A single numbered sealing strip is pulled through the mounting holes on the Drip Sampler and the Cubitainer and fastened, and the Cubitainer is sealed airtight with the Drip Sampler. This system protects against manipulation or contamination of the sample during the delivery of the bunker. In addition, this method does not limit manual valve operation, and adjustment is possible to primarily control the flow during sampling. Accurate and safe handling and storage of the reserve samples is an essential requirement of MARPOL. Because the quantity of each reserve sample should not be less than 400 ml, and since at least four samples are required in practice, the sample bottles are available from Martechnic ® in suitable sizes of 500 or 1000 ml . Each bottle with the reserve sample of fuel has a correct label made of a tear-resistant and oil-resistant material. This combination is then secured with a forgery-proof seal with an individual number directly on the seal, instead of on a bottle cap. This combination of the sample bottle, the label and the seal prevents the exchange of the original label or the seal number. This is an important advantage in order to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on the reserve sample of fuel. Testing Test Case Sampling Sensors Clean DRIP SAMPLER Fuel sampling device A representative fuel sample is an essential prerequisite for accurate and reliable test results. Martechnic ® offers an in-line sampling device DRIP SAMPLER to take representative fuel samples during the bunker process, in accordance with the regulations of MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI. SAMPLING EQUIPMENT Fast sampling The SAMPLE EQUIPMENT from Martechnic ® offers a simple and practical method to obtain representative samples of fuel, lubricating and hydraulic oil that meet the internationally recognized sampling standards. A sample is taken with the help of the flexible hose and pumped into a sample bottle through the vacuum pump, which is coupled with an adapter. The built-in adjustable telescopic rod enables flexible sampling either from above, from the middle or from the bottom of the oil tank. FEATURES Measuring time: approx. 2 minutes Usability of the sample bottles: water Emulsions Low-viscosity mineral oils (up to a viscosity of 1200 mm² / s at 20 ° C) ADVANTAGES Extendable telescopic rod for flexible sampling Representative oil samples Rapid detection of free water in the oil tank Fixed iron shavings on the magnetic head of the telescopic rod can indicate wear The decisive advantage of the SAMPLING EQUIPMENT is the direct determination of free water in the oil tank. Before the equipment is immersed in the oil, a special paste must be applied to the magnetic head of the telescopic rod. The color of the paste changes to red as soon as open water is detected. In addition, the magnetic head collects the iron filings on its surface, if they are present in the oil, and thus helps to determine a possible friction process.

The equipment helps onboard personnel to comply with international marine environmental regulations and to collect, retain and store oil samples in a safe and efficient manner. FEATURES Complies with MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI and MEPC.182 (59) guidelines Robust and secure (lockable) for storing samples and documents Compact size: 100 x 56 x 40 cm Weight: about 37 kg ADVANTAGES Wide neck sample bottles are easy to use Seals for all bottles and cubitainers DRIP SAMPLER for inline sampling Leakage protection, tools and cleaning utensils included and cleaning utensils included The following equipment is included: 1 DRIP SAMPLER 6 ”or 8” 2 wrenches to attach the DRIP SAMPLER 20 sample bottles 5 Cubitainers complete with individually numbered seals 1 set of drain cock and box for Cubitainers 2 pairs of oil-resistant gloves 1 safety glasses 5 oil absorbing mats The specific features of the MT SAMPLE RETENTION SYSTEM ensure effective fuel sampling, including reliable protection against contamination, namely: 1. The MT-SRS Cubitainer and sampler are equipped with a seal. 2. Unrestricted manual valve operation for flow control of the single sample. 3. A tamper-proof unit of the bottle, the label and the lid.
